Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt was the 55-53 winner over Garfield when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Roosevelt Rough Riders were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 50-49 to the Garfield Bulldogs.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Garfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Coming up, Roosevelt will venture away from home to challenge South Gate at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Roosevelt is facing South Gate at the right time seeing as South Gate is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. Garfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
