Recap: Bethany Christian Bruins vs. Argos Dragons
There's no place like home for the Bethany Christian Bruins, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They managed a 44-40 win over Argos on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bethany Christian also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Bethany Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Schlabach out in front who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Jacoby Reinhardt, who scored six points along with three steals and three blocks.
Bethany Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season. As for Argos, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethany Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bremen at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. Bremen presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bethany Christian in Indiana (Bremen is ranked 164th, while Bethany Christian is ranked 341st). As for Argos, they will head out on the road to face off against North Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Miami has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 21.
