The Dixie County Bears will venture away from home to face off against the Chiefland Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Dixie County couldn't beat Union County on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Bears fell 10-7 to the Fighting Tigers. The Bears have struggled against the Fighting Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Tearra Collins made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Chiefland came out on top against Taylor County on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Indians walked away with a 9-5 win over the Bulldogs. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Anna Jane Meeks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Klaire Mullis, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Evie Meeks, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Chiefland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taylor County only managed seven.
Dixie County's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Chiefland, their record is now 8-13.
Dixie County's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Bears have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Chiefland, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Dixie County continue to outrun the ball?
Dixie County suffered a grim 10-3 defeat to Chiefland when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
