Denton lost to Crowley on Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Broncos narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Eagles 3-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Broncos' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Jimmy Turner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Denton's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Andoga, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Denton's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-15-2. As for Crowley, their defeat was their 11th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-20.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denton will welcome Eagle Mountain at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Crowley, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against North Crowley at 7:00 p.m.
