Basketball Game Preview: Highland Hornets vs. Baird Bears

The Highland Hornets and the Baird Bears will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Highland will head into Friday's match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 31) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Paint Rock 40-37.

Meanwhile, Baird didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Garner on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 62-56 victory.

The win got Highland back to even at 6-6. As for Baird, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Highland strolled past Baird in their previous meeting back in January of 2020 by a score of 42-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for Highland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
