Trinity took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Thomas Jefferson, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hillers had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 10-8. Winning may never get old, but the Hillers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Trinity got a great performance from Landon Conn as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Jonah Williamson was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Derek Falvo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Trinity kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thomas Jefferson didn't got any.
Trinity's record is now 7-4. As for Thomas Jefferson, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-4.
Trinity and Thomas Jefferson should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Hillers will square off against Waynesburg Central at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (70 vs. 437). Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson (ranked 37th) will meet McKeesport (ranked 581st) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
