Baseball Recap: Forest Hill Comes Up Short

Forest Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Suncoast Chargers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 16, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Julian DeJesus was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Yampiel Chavez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Forest Hill's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Suncoast, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forest Hill will welcome Atlantic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Suncoast, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Royal Palm Beach at 6:30 p.m. The Chargers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
