The Trinity Christian Eagles will challenge the Futures Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Trinity Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
Trinity Christian is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Chesterton Academy of Sacramento: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Trinity Christian blew Chesterton Academy of Sacramento out of the water with a 94-21 final score. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 27 points or more this season.

Christofer Thomas was his usual excellent self, putting up 20 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Samuel Muntean, who posted 18 points.
Meanwhile, Futures unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 67-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sacramento Waldorf.
Despite the defeat, Futures saw an underclassman step up: freshman Chris Collins dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. Collins is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Elijah Lewis was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points.
Even though they lost, Futures smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 16 consecutive games.
Trinity Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.9 points. As for Futures, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-8.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Trinity Christian and Futures are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Trinity Christian hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 63.3 points per game. However, it's not like Futures struggles in that department as they've been averaging 59.2 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Trinity Christian barely slipped by Futures in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, winning 60-59. Will Trinity Christian repeat their success, or does Futures have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
