Baseball Recap: Romeo Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road

After losing to Chippewa Valley the last time they met, Romeo decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Big Reds on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Romeo's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Chippewa Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-6-1 record this season.
