Softball Recap: East Chambers Triumphs

While East Chambers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Big Sandy Wildcats on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Buccaneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

East Chambers' win bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Big Sandy, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, East Chambers will host La Marque at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Big Sandy, they will take on Goose Creek Memorial at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. Goose Creek Memorial will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Big Sandy surely won't give up without a fight.
