Softball Recap: Carbondale Area Takes a Loss

Carbondale Area's last matchup with Montrose could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Chargers lost 11-1 to the Meteors. The Chargers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Meteors from their previous meeting back in May of 2018.

Carbondale Area saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stephanie Baker, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Carbondale Area and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Montrose, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carbondale Area will challenge Mountain View at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Montrose, they will square off against Forest City at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
