Silas Midgyett Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Starting off the list is Chillicothe's Silas Midgyett, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Midgyett rushed for 260 yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (114.6). That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2023.

The win got Chillicothe back to even at 4-4. Midgyett and Chillicothe will square off against Benton on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Cannon Cruse Leads St. Pius X over Lafayette

On Friday, St. Pius X got the W thanks in part to Cannon Cruse playing the best football he has all season. Cruse rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

The victory was the seventh in a row for St. Pius X, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Cruse and St. Pius X will head out to face off against Savannah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Gage Bowland Turns in Another Game with at Least Six Total Tackles

On Friday, Savannah got the W thanks in part to Gage Bowland playing the best football he has all season. Bowland wasn't messing around, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making 13 total tackles (3.0 for loss). The game was his eighth straight with six or more total tackles dating back to last season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Savannah, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. Bowland and Savannah will welcome St. Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Knechtenhofer Made His Presence Known in Savannah's 42-14 Win

Aiden Knechtenhofer's big game helped extend Savannah's winning streak to five on Friday. Nobody could stop Knechtenhofer as he threw for 142 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown.

On the year, Knechtenhofer has thrown 5 touchdowns while averaging 54.3 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had four rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 11.

His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 107 rushing yards.

On the year, Cascone has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 99.1 rushing yards per game.
