Basketball Recap: Tate Skates Past Northview with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tate). They breezed by the Northview Chiefs to the tune of 70-23 on Monday. The Aggies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tate to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sam Williams, who posted 23 points. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in points. Brelynn Morris was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Tate's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Northview, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tate will host Navarre at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northview, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pensacola Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
