Softball Recap: University City Comes Up Short

The University City Centurions came up short against the Tri-City Christian Eagles on Thursday and fell 7-4. The Centurions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alyssa Castillo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Samantha Weathers also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

University City's loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Tri-City Christian, they pushed their record up to 6-1-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, University City and Tri-City Christian will both be playing El Camino the next time they take the field. Tri-City Christian will host El Camino at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while University City will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on April 8.
