Softball Recap: Butler Comes Up Short

Butler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the North Allegheny Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Tornado of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Butler's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for North Allegheny, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Butler has already played their next game, a 6-4 win against Mt. Lebanon on the 1st. As for North Allegheny, they will challenge Seneca Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
