Basketball Recap: North Penn-Liberty Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

North Penn-Liberty waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 57-53 W against the Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders. The Mountie have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Red Raiders, too.

North Penn-Liberty's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adynn Wheeland, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 17 points and eight assists. Those eight assists gave Wheeland a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Louis Mercantino, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 18 points.

North Penn-Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-16 record.
