Football Recap: Denver City Mustangs vs. Lamesa Tornadoes
Denver City was the 47-6 winner over Lamesa when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Denver City Mustangs fell to the Lamesa Tornadoes 33-29.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lamesa to victory, but perhaps none more so than Benito Barrioz, who rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown. The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Denver City will square off against Dalhart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lamesa, they will take on River Road at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
