Basketball Game Preview: Lakota Raiders vs. New Riegel Blue Jackets

Lakota is 0-10 against New Riegel since December of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Lakota Raiders will be playing at home against the New Riegel Blue Jackets at 7:00 p.m.

Lakota is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since January 10th on Tuesday. They lost 66-44 to Calvert. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 547th, while the Senecas are ranked 178th).

Meanwhile, New Riegel came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 58-46 win over the Chieftains.

New Riegel has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Lakota, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
