Childress posted their closest victory since December 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-65 win over the Tulia Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-44 back in January.

Despite the defeat, Tulia saw an underclassman step up: freshman CJ Parker almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave Parker a new career-high. Logan Becerra was another key player, going 8 of 18 to rack up 19 points and eight rebounds.

Childress has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Tulia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-16 record this season.

Childress didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 36-18 victory against Canadian on the 7th. As for Tulia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-37 loss against Bushland on the 7th.
