Recap: Paradise Valley Trojans vs. Highland Hawks
If the Paradise Valley Trojans were riding high off their 53-31 takedown of the Ironwood Eagles two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Paradise Valley took a hard 54-40 fall against Highland on Friday.
Despite the loss, Paradise Valley still got an impressive performance from Emilee Resendez, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds.
Paradise Valley's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-5. As for Highland, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.
Paradise Valley will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Mountain Pointe at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Pointe is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Highland won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cibola at 3:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Cibola is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
