Softball Recap: Sabine Drops Highest Score of Season Against Gladewater

Sabine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gladewater Bears. On the bright side, the ten- run effort marked the Cardinals' highest-scoring game to date.

Madison Pierce made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Breanna Hill, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Sabine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Gladewater, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12-1.

Coming up, Sabine will head out to take on West Rusk at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gladewater, they will welcome Arp at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
