Football Recap: East Stroudsburg South Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

East Stroudsburg South unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 21-13 to the Abington Heights Comets on Friday. While the Cavaliers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Comets 6-0.

Jayden Anglin was nothing short of spectacular for Abington Heights: he rushed for 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. Those 125 rushing yards gave Anglin a new career-high.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Stroudsburg South is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Northampton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Abington Heights, they will head out to challenge West Scranton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
