Softball Recap: Lenoir City's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

After flying high against Oak Ridge last Monday, Lenoir City came back down to earth. Lenoir City fell 6-3 to the Heritage Mountaineers on Tuesday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Lenoir City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Molly Robinson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Kymbal Williams was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Lenoir City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Lenoir City is taking a road trip to face off against Harriman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harriman has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.5 runs per game on average), something Lenoir City will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Heritage, they will be playing at home against Hardin Valley Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Heritage is facing Hardin Valley Academy at the right time seeing as Hardin Valley Academy is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
