Baseball Game Preview: Goshen Central Gladiators vs. Cornwall Central Dragons

Goshen Central is 1-9 against Cornwall Central since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Gladiators will welcome the Dragons at 4:00 p.m.

On Friday, Goshen Central came up short against Monroe-Woodbury and fell 7-2.

Avery Farrell made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Cornwall Central strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over Minisink Valley.

Cornwall Central's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Goshen Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Goshen Central couldn't quite finish off Cornwall Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 and fell 2-0. Can the Gladiators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
