Eastern Montgomery has gone 8-2 against Bath County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will welcome the Chargers at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Montgomery is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Logan Owen was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Owen wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Coltin Conner, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Conner is becoming a predictor of Eastern Montgomery's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-2 (and 1-10 when he doesn't).
Bath County never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Richwood on Monday. They put the hurt on the Lumberjacks with a sharp 13-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Bath County got a massive performance out of Owen Perdue, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Perdue has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Dylan Hicklin, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Bath County is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Eastern Montgomery, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Eastern Montgomery has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bath County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.9 strikeouts.
