Volleyball Recap: Lutheran North's Run of Seven Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Lutheran North unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Utica Ford Falcons. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Lillie Meier paced Lutheran North's offense, picking up seven kills. Meier got some help from Grace Tobey and her 18 assists. Finally, Leighton Garner kept Lutheran North's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Lutheran North's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Utica Ford, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6-2.

Looking ahead, Lutheran North will be taking part in a tournament against Marysville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Utica Ford, they will take on Rochester at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
