Veterans Memorial won the last time they faced Southwest and things went their way on Saturday too. The Patriots won by a set and slipped past the Dragons 2-1.

Veterans Memorial's offense was headlined by Jalyce Hodges and Peyton Simpson, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Aryanah LaBoone and her 18 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

The win got Veterans Memorial back to even at 3-3. As for Southwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Veterans Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Medina Valley on the 16th. As for Southwest, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Fredericksburg on the 16th.
