Soccer Game Preview: Asheville vs. Davie

The Asheville Cougars will take on the Davie War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Asheville is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Asheville's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Enka 3-0. Considering Asheville have won nine games by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Peyton Case was the driving force of Asheville's attack as she scored all three of Asheville's goals, bringing her season total up to 37 goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Davie was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of R.J. Reynolds. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Davie couldn't quite close it out.

Asheville's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those four games. As for Davie, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5-3.
