Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask D.C. Everest). They put the hurt on the Wausau West Warriors with a sharp 17-1 victory on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Evergreens as they're now sitting on 16 straight.

D.C. Everest's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Wausau West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. D.C. Everest will host Eau Claire Memorial at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Wausau West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marshfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
