James F. Byrnes waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 20-1 margin over the Spartanburg Vikings. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rebels also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

James F. Byrnes pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Spartanburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, James F. Byrnes will challenge Boiling Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boiling Springs has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.93 runs per game on average), something James F. Byrnes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Spartanburg, they are taking a road trip to square off against Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
