Softball Recap: Olean Takes a Loss

If Olean was feeling good fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Pioneer on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies came up short against the Grand Island Vikings on Thursday, falling 8-2.

Riley Sudbrook made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Allison Anastasia also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Olean's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Grand Island, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Olean nor Grand Island have any future games scheduled.
