Baseball Game Preview: Lexington Wildcats vs. River Bluff Gators

For the second straight game, Lexington will face off against River Bluff. The Wildcats will take on the Gators at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lexington's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so River Bluff's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Lexington is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: River Bluff, who was ranked 11th at the time (Lexington was ranked eighth). The Wildcats walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Gators on Thursday.

Lexington pushed their record up to 13-7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for River Bluff, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-5.
