Football Recap: Golden Sierra Skates Past Elite with Ease

Golden Sierra got themselves on the board against Elite on Friday, but Elite never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 60-0 victory over the Eagles. The Grizzlies' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Golden Sierra was led to victory by Andrew Gerondakis and Noah Prine. Gerondakis threw for 297 yards and four TDs while picking up 14.9 yards per attempt, while Prine rushed for 115 yards and one score. Those 115 rushing yards gave Prine a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abraham Ware, who rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Golden Sierra was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 179 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Golden Sierra's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Elite, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Golden Sierra wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 22-20 defeat against Highlands on the 3rd. As for Elite, they have also already played their next contest, a 41-22 loss against Lindhurst on the 3rd.
