Basketball Game Preview: Nolensville Knights vs. Palmetto Panthers

The Nolensville Knights will take on the Palmetto Panthers in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nolensville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Palmetto likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Nolensville earned a 67-56 win over Rockvale. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Rockvale are ranked 157th).

Meanwhile, Palmetto had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 51.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Colts 72-69. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since December 28, 2024.

Palmetto's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Nolensville, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
