Softball Recap: Ponderosa Comes Up Short

Ponderosa lost against Pleasant Grove back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bruins lost 12-2 to the Eagles. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ponderosa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aleyah Cruz, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Ponderosa's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Pleasant Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ponderosa will challenge Bella Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pleasant Grove, they will take on Rocklin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
