Softball Recap: Glenbard West Beats Leyden for Their Sixth Straight Win

Glenbard West entered their tilt with Leyden on Saturday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hilltoppers have posted since March 18th.

Glenbard West's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Semprevivo, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI. Another was Ainslie Bobroff, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Glenbard West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in four consecutive games.

Glenbard West's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Leyden, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
