Softball Game Preview: Cape May County Tech Hawks vs. Salem County Vo-Tech

The Cape May County Tech Hawks will face off against Salem County Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Salem County Vo-Tech will be up against a hot Cape May County Tech team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Hawks put the hurt on Bridgeton with a sharp 20-4 victory on Tuesday.

Emma Oravits was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Addison LeSage was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three doubles, and two runs. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Makenna Hayes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.

Cape May County Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .433 or higher in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Salem County Vo-Tech got the win against Pennsauken Tech on Tuesday by a conclusive 19-4.

Cape May County Tech's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Salem County Vo-Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
