Basketball Recap: HEARTS for Jesus Christ Piles Up the Points Against Horizon Science Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask HEARTS for Jesus Christ). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Horizon Science Academy 44-9. The win was some much needed relief for the Guardians as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carenna Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. Lewis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Haven Anthony, who posted eight points along with six assists and six boards.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Horizon Science Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ will have a chance to go back-to-back against Horizon Science Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
