Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Jefferson). They were the clear victor by a 16-1 margin over the West Jefferson Buccaneers on Monday. Considering the Warriors have won eight matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

East Jefferson's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for West Jefferson, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, East Jefferson will face off against Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Jefferson, they will challenge McDonogh 35 at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McDonogh 35 has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.86 runs per game on average), something West Jefferson will no doubt try to take advantage of.
