Basketball Recap: St. Elizabeth Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fatima, St. Elizabeth was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 57-56 victory over the Kirksville Tigers. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

St. Elizabeth's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Kirksville, they moved to 10-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, St. Elizabeth and Kirksville will both be playing Southern Boone the next time they take the court. St. Elizabeth will host Southern Boone at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Kirksville will head out to face them at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
