Basketball Recap: Oakridge Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Miles Frazier and Aaron Greenberg

Oakridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 56-37 to the St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans. The Owls were probably out for revenge after losing 63-59 to them when the teams met back in February of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Aaron Greenberg and Miles Frazier certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Greenberg posted 12 points and six boards, while Frazier almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Greenberg has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Oakridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for St. Stephen's Episcopal, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12.

Oakridge will head out to take on St. Mark's at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mark's will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Oakridge surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Stephen's Episcopal, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-55 victory against Trinity Valley on the 27th.
