Baseball Recap: Old Fort Comes Up Short

Old Fort made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Woodmore, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Stockaders fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-3 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Stockaders have suffered since May 8, 2024.

Old Fort saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Adelsperger, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Old Fort has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Woodmore, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

Coming up, Old Fort will face off against Danbury at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Stockaders are facing the Lakers at the right time seeing as the Lakers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Woodmore, they will take on Oak Harbor at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
