Volleyball Recap: Jackson Takes a Loss

The Jackson Jaguars came up short against the Druid Hills Red Devils on Thursday and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-9.

Ava Dyson paced Jackson's offense, picking up four kills. Dyson got some help from Sofia Ostrej and her three assists.

Druid Hills can attribute much of their success to Caroline Rogers, who had six kills, four digs, and two aces. That's the most aces Rogers has posted over her last three contests.

Jackson's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Druid Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Jackson and Druid Hills will both be playing Sandy Creek the next time they take the court. The Red Devils will host the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Jaguars will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
