Knightdale had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They walked away with a 50-38 victory over the Corinth Holders Pirates. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 45-40 loss the last time these two teams met.

Knightdale's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ja'Kiyah Moore led the charge by going 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points in addition to eight assists and six boards. Moore has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ayomide Adewumi, who posted eight points in addition to ten boards and three blocks.

Knightdale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matchups.

Corinth Holders' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jada Vanderhorst, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Darla Lee, who had 14 points and three steals.

Knightdale's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Corinth Holders, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Knightdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-40 victory against Wilson Prep on the 28th. As for Corinth Holders, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-54 loss against Goldsboro on the 28th.
