Volleyball Recap: Makena Gadd Key Part of Team Effort in Warriors Win

There's no place like home for Metrolina Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against the Gaston Day Spartans on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Spartans on September 4th, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Metrolina Christian Academy didn't let Gaston Day take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 28-26, 25-22.

Metrolina Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Makena Gadd out in front who had 21 digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Gadd a new career-high in assists (25). Another player making a difference was Lauren Ratzlaff, who had 15 digs and ten assists.

Metrolina Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Gaston Day, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight matches and leaves them with a 13-2 record.
