Soccer Game Preview: John Paul II Catholic vs. Bear Grass Charter

The John Paul II Catholic Saints will head out to square off against the Bear Grass Charter Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. John Paul II Catholic will be strutting in after a win while Bear Grass Charter will be coming in after a loss.

John Paul II Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They put the hurt on Wayne Country Day with a sharp 6-0 victory on Thursday. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Emma Claire Smith and Laci Bitterman scored all six of John Paul II Catholic's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, Bear Grass Charter didn't have quite enough to beat Southside on Thursday and fell 4-3.

Bear Grass Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for John Paul II Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

John Paul II Catholic took their win against Bear Grass Charter in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. Will John Paul II Catholic repeat their success, or does Bear Grass Charter have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
