Football Recap: PAL Academy Comes Up Short

If PAL Academy was feeling good fresh off their 40-0 takedown of Entrepreneur two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulls took a blow against the Calvary Baptist Cougars on Friday, falling 52-6. The Bulls were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-0.

Leading Calvary Baptist to victory were Devin DeBuono and Zaedik Mcphail. DeBuono threw for 261 yards and seven TDs, while Mcphail picked up 158 receiving yards and four touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave DeBuono a new career-high in rushing yards (48).

PAL Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Calvary Baptist, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

PAL Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-18 loss against Trona on the 20th. As for Calvary Baptist, they have also already played their next contest, a 58-8 win against Lighthouse Christian on the 19th.
