 In what's become a running theme this season, The Master's Academy gave their fans yet another huge  win on Monday. They put the hurt on the Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors with a sharp  11-1 victory. The  win was familiar territory for The Master's Academy who now have five in a row.
  Matthew Herring made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out 14 batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits (and only one walk). Herring has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. Herring was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Hunter Brown and  Benjamin LaSelle did most of the damage at the plate:  Brown  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3, while  LaSelle  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. LaSelle is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last five games he's  played.  Noah Lael was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 The Master's Academy has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record  this season. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-9.
 Coincidentally,  both teams will both be playing Community Christian Academy the next time they take the field. The Master's Academy will head out to face Community Christian Academy at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday, while Lake Lure Classical Academy will  host them  at 4:30  p.m.  on May 7th.
