Baseball Game Preview: Wood-Ridge Blue Devils vs. Hanover Park Hornets

Wood-Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 12-7 victory over Verona. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Hillbillies: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Hanover Park won against Weehawken on Wednesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Hornets blew past Dayton 11-4.

Wood-Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 18-16. As for Hanover Park, their win bumped their record up to 15-8-1.

Wood-Ridge suffered a grim 15-5 defeat to Hanover Park in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
