Basketball Recap: Carlsbad Takes Down Ranked Pojoaque Valley

On Saturday, Carlsbad faced Pojoaque Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls rang in the new year with a 49-39 win over the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes.

Carlsbad is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
